Our little Scubby (as we like to call her) is getting so big! Here is sort of a sneak peekl of her Valentines Day photoshoot, but also this "magazine" type looking thing. I saw a cute idea on Pinterest to list all the things she loves next to a picture of her, and wanted to try it. The whole photoshoot, all she would do was sit where Mommy asked her to, (for like 5 seconds) then get up, and run away. We repeated this process probably 10 times. She's just so much fun.
Our little monkey is finally starting to walk! She took her very first steps on her own on Friday, Aug 9th. She's a really fast learner, and we're really proud of her. Here are a few videos from just a few days after she learned she could stand on her own.
Welcome to our new home! We moved to South Weber at the end of April, and it's everything we wanted and more. Pac and I had this list of things that we wanted and for sure did NOT want in our next home, and I was really nervous that in some area or in some way we were going to need to settle. Let's be real folks, life isn't always peaches and cream, but sometimes, things do work out. This was one of those times, and we are so grateful.
We finally have a yard that we can call our very own. No one can tell us what we can and can't do with THIS baby! Pac just barely mowed the lawn in this pic, and you can see Boomer's work as well. Who the crap cares, it's OURS! We have some serious plans for this yard, including: a sports court, a big hill for kiddos to run and roll up and down, a garden, flowers, and first and foremost, TREES. Year by year, we'll see how far we get! :)
Pac's new toy. My Husqvarna is a sewing machine. His, is the riding lawn mower.
It's a small little patio, and's been so fun to BBQ again. Our newest discovery is doing quesadillas wrapped in aluminum foil. Holy crap on a cracker are they guuuuuuuud.
The lawn in kind of dead in this pic cause it was right after we moved in. But how cute is it!
There have been quite a few first for Evie since we have moved. She switched to forward facing in her car seat.
She went swimming for the first time. It was Pac's day off, and we had planned it all week, and mother nature happened to turn on the wind right after we got in the pool. So, she wasn't in there long, she had to swim in her diaper cause Mom left her swim bottoms home (they don't fit her little butt anyway) and we didn't have little swimmers. All in all though, it's safe to say Everleigh LOVES the pool as much as she loves the bathtub.
All of a sudden, she won't eat if she's spoon fed anymore. She has to do it herself. The problem in, that now she knows she can easily say no. Here we go! It's getting interesting folks! (She didn't like the Mac & Cheese.) Her favorites are bananas, pears, peaches, bread, crackers, and some cereal.
She finally started drinking through a straw! Man, this has been a long time coming. She'll drink water, and some fruit smoothie, but still has a hard time with Apple Juice. Weird much? The red on her face is pizza sauce. Apparently, she likes pizza, I dunno. ;o)
.....and... some videos.
Splash and splash!
They like each other, or something.
She will randomly laugh at something that doesn't seem funny to adults, but to her, it's great! I had my leg resting on her chair, and her little foot pushed it off, then all of the sudden, we had another laughing fest on our hands! Oh how I love this little girl.
This was actually on Valentine's Day, but it took me that long to
figure out how to get the dang video on here! She was definitely in a happy mood!
All I did, was clear my throat once while I was feeding her, and she started to laugh. But it was a laugh I hadn't heard from her before. So then I started making pig noises, and apparently it was H.I.L.arious.
She kills me.
Lovin' on Dad. :) Sometimes Boomer gets a little excited and his
powerful paws get a little too close to her head. Then you see Mama
and Pape bear come out and growl!
The other day, Evie and I made a trip to the store (Walmart in Centerville) without Daddy.
We've done this many times, but the funny thing is, that Everleigh was getting too big for her carseat, therefore, she was mighty uncomfortable on this trop. She had a "little" mighty meltdown, which cause me to pull over off of Highway 89 and stop at Grandma Kathy's and Grandpa Babby's house. Alas, no one was home, so Evie got to get out of her wretched carseat and sit in the front seat with Momma for a little bit while she calmed down.
Once she went back into her car seat, she whined like 3 times, and crashed. I felt so bad! Needless to say, she now has a new car seat.
She figured out what noise her mouth can make when her binki is not in her mouth.
Once she figured this out, she now does it all the time. She can also pop her lips.
She loves to play with heavy things. Hand her a stuffed animal, and she'll look at you completely unimpressed. Hand her something heavy, and she's enthralled. Like, a remote. :)
We went on a Valentines Day lunch date to see Grandma Kathy at work and meet Aunt Lexi there so we could go to lunch at the Garden Restaurant. Paxton and Robert were deep into the first day of the RV Show, and Lexi didn't get to see her boy that day either, so we went on a girl's date. I had red velvet cheescake that I actually almost finished. It was that good. These pic are on the Mezzanine of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Little body, big chairs.
Everleigh had her first cart ride at the store without her carseat. She did SO great!
Playing with Mom's phone. Ok, Mom was playing too, she didn't take these pictures on her own. :)
A little Daddy-Daughter time together. Love these two so much!
Some cute shots from our little "Valentines Photoshoot."
I loved this one below in the pink, but couldn't get myself to design a card I liked with it. Much frustration.
We invited my Mom and Yajing (aka Angie: She's staying with my Mom for 1 year while she teaches Chinese Immersion to elem. kids) over to carve pumpkins.
Pac just got home from work, so he's eating his dinner. Chicken Enchiladas... yummmm.
I love carving pumpkins. The pictures are worth the experience alone.
Ahhhh....
Pac's, Evie's and my pumpkins. Pac did the Hello Kitty freehand by looking off a piece of paper. I sure am glad he did it, cause I would've killed that Kitty. I HAVE to trace it. I'm sort of a loser when it comes to anything drawing or physically artistic. Unless I can do it with a camera, I get lost. Really fast.
Yajing and I.
And then came Halloween! We love Halloween in our house. Just the cutsie parts of it though. Pac and I are not into the really scary stuff. I went into a Halloween store to try and find a red bandana for my costume, and was uncomfortable with the amount of scary death ridden things around me. I saw a little girl, maybe 4 or 5 who was holding her mom's hand and looking TERRIFIED. The Mother just kept walking and didn't acknowledge her daughter's discomfort at all. That too made me really uncomfortable. Oh wells. Like I said, the cute parts of Halloween are a Blast!
Our little ladybug. Pac ended up not doing the biker thing, but diid put on his Jets jersey.
Rosie the Riveter with her little bug.
:)
Grandma Donna came over. Wooo!
Is it ovbious she was getting tired?
And here is a small video of Evie sucking on some fruit.
So, we took a trip with Pac's side of the fam to Nebraska to watch our cute little Molly get baptized. How much fun was this trip!?! We went to this CRAZY "Pumpkin Patch." I put in in quotes, because it was basically an amusement park (without roller coasters, but there was a train ride...) centered around anything and everything fall. It was crazy fun. These pics are a little out of order, but whatever, you get the idea. :)
Pac got his Homer on.
Family outings are different with a baby!
My little Pumpkin.
Such a happy girl!
Travelling 15 hours in an RV. Oh yeah, this is the way to travel. This is on our way out to Nebraska.
Grandma Kathy bought Evie this adorable little hat to keep her little ears warm.
A little Daddy-Daughter time while travelling.
"Mom, I'm tired now."
Paxton has been out of town practically all month long.
After our trip to Nebreaska, Paxton left for a work trip out to Chicago. He was there for 4 days, and was able to come back one day before he had to leave again for Canada for a week. Me and the little one have really been missing Daddy. So glad he's home again!
In between Paxton's trips, on the ONLY day we had him in town before Halloween, we were able to take our yearly and very traditional trip to our local pumpkin patch in Farmington. It was windy as all get out, so although a short trip, it was still fun to have Evie take her first trip to the Pumpkin Patch with us.
It was SOOOO windy!!! She would gasp because it would take her breath away.
Next item of business, Pumpkin Carving and Halloween!!!! Yeah! Pac will be a rough ridin' biker with tatoo's, I'm going to be the "We Can Do It" lady from WWII ads, and Evie will be a ladybug. Pics coming soon!
